Optometry coding can be frustrating, and the practices face the challenges of co-management cataract claims denying for various reasons. In this course, we will discuss the important information required to get the claim paid the first time without resubmitting the claims due to incomplete information. Course Objective: The goal for this presentation is to ease the stress of filing the co-management claims. The staff and doctor will have a better understanding of the documentation to minimize the denials. An understanding of the modifiers, dates, CPT codes, diagnosis codes and assumed/relinquished dates that need to be noted on the claim.
